01 / How it works

Different ways to act on cancer

In oncology, targeted therapy is a type of precision medicine that targets proteins that control how cancer cells grow, divide, and spread in the body.

At Verita Life, we offer a wide range of targeted cancer treatments designed to support patients through carefully structured and personalised therapy programmes that align with each individual diagnosis, treatment history, and overall wellbeing.

We select these therapies and treatments as part of an integrative oncology approach that considers the biological behaviour of cancer alongside our patient’s wider physical and emotional health. Our treatment plans might incorporate low dose therapies, metabolic approaches, and biologically focused supportive treatments intended to work alongside conventional cancer care when it’s appropriate.

Every programme is carefully and constantly reviewed, then adapted to reflect the patient’s current condition.

Understanding the different approaches

  1. Metronomic Therapy

Metronomic treatment gives chemotherapy on a frequent, lower-dose schedule. This treatment is designed to support cancer care while helping minimise the intensity of the treatment and making side effects manageable

  2. IPT & Low-Dose Chemotherapy

Insulin Potentiation Therapy works by combining insulin with low dose chemotherapy in order to increase the drug uptake into the cells while reducing toxicity exposure.

  3. Metabolic Treatment

These approaches target the metabolic processes that cancer cells rely on for growth and survival. By disrupting these pathways, it helps make cancer cells more vulnerable to treatment.

  4. Biological Treatment

Biological therapies designed to support the body’s natural systems to help target and destroy cancer cells alongside other treatment strategies. By stimulating specific responses within the body, these treatments can support immune function, disrupt cancer cell activity, and enhance the effectiveness of other therapies.

  5. Herbal Therapy

A supportive therapy that combines evidence-based botanical compounds alongside integrative oncology care to help support immune function, inhibit tumor growth, and enhance the body’s natural healing response.

03 / Treatment planning

Planning your care

Our precision-focused therapies aim to support cancer care with carefully selected treatment strategies tailored to the individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

At Verita Life our highly skilled medical team focuses on developing structured programmes that might combine multiple therapies depending on your diagnosis, treatment history, and overall patient condition.

Our approach includes:

Detailed medical and treatment review

We assess your medical history, cancer diagnosis, previous therapies or treatments, current treatment plans, and your overall health before we outline supportive treatment options.

Personalised therapy selection

Your therapies will be suggested based on cancer type, stage, treatment tolerance, and your individual priorities and wellbeing goals.

Ongoing programme evaluation

All of our treatment plans are regularly monitored and adjusted to ensure continued efficacy, suitability and minimise side effects throughout the patient journey.

04 / Our approach

Targeted care designed around you

At Verita Life we understand that no two cancer diagnoses are the same, and that’s why we place a strong emphasis on individualising all of our treatment plans as well as providing ongoing programme adaptation throughout your journey.

Some of our patients seek precision-focused support alongside conventional treatments, while others visit us to explore integrative approaches after previous therapies. We’re here to provide expertly selected support programmes to support our patients, built around their condition, priorities, and treatment status.

We promise to focus on maintaining clear communication, realistic expectations, and medically guided decisions within our calm and supportive clinical environment.

05 / Questions

Questions patients ask

Does off-label mean that a treatment is unproven?

Not necessarily. Some off-label cancer prescriptions have substantial clinical support, while other uses are still being investigated. Ask about the evidence for the exact medicine and proposed use, and how it compares with established options.

Is metronomic treatment the same as IPT?

No, metronomic chemotherapy and Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) are not the same. While both involve using lower doses of chemotherapy than traditional high-dose regimens, metronomic does not utilise Insulin and the treatments rely on entirely different biological mechanisms and protocols.
