Infrared Sauna Therapy provides gentle heat exposure using advanced infrared technologies. Many of our patients choose infrared therapies as part of a proactive approach to health, recovery, and quality of life.

01 / Overview
About Infrared Sauna Therapy
02 / How it works
How Infrared Sauna Therapy works
Infrared energy warms the body without relying only on heating the surrounding air. Not to be confused with traditional saunas that tend to only heat the surrounding air, infrared systems are designed to deliver radiant energy that is able to penetrate more deeply into tissues. This differs from local hyperthermia aimed at a tumour and from medical whole-body hyperthermia with a defined temperature protocol.

What to expect
45 minutes
- Key Benefits
- Supporting relaxation and stress; Encouraging better circulation; Supporting normal cellular production (ATP); Helping you maintain comfort and overall wellbeing
- Red Light, Near-Infrared and Far-Infrared
- Modern infrared sauna therapy systems usually combine multiple wavelengths because each type interacts differently with the body. At Verita Life we use the Regenetec system which incorporates red light, near-infrared, and far-infrared together. Red light is used for the skin's surface and superficial tissues, while near-infrared is used to penetrate deeper into the mussels and soft tissues, and finally far-infrared heat produces a gentle warming throughout the whole body.
05 / Care at Verita Life
Your care at Verita Life
Patients at Verita Life will be invited to sit or recline, comfortably, inside the infrared chamber while a gentle radiant heat is delivered throughout the session. Your session times and treatment length will vary from patient to patient, but we will walk you through what to expect before your first session. Our team is committed to ensure the treatment will be calming and comfortable from start to finish.
06 / Evidence
What does the evidence show?
One of the biggest reasons infrared sauna therapy has become increasingly popular with integrative wellness programmes, is how the treatment reacts with the body’s cells. Advanced infrared systems, like those provided at Verita Life, emit wavelengths of red or near-infrared light that penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the mitochondria. Once the wavelengths reach the mitochondria, they stimulate an enzyme called cytochrome oxidase which can help support adenosine triphosphate production (the primary source of energy used by all cells in the human body).
ATP plays a vital role in many of the body’s normal biological processes, including cellular repair, communication, and healthy tissue function. By using infrared light, we can support natural cellular energy production.
