Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer occurs when the malignant cells in the breast begin to divide uncontrollably. In several cases, with advanced technology, Breast cancers are detected at an earlier stage before any symptoms are noticeable, and thus, increase the survival rate by 80-90%. However, Breast Cancer patients will experience a lump in the breast or in the armpit, discharge from the nipple, pain in the breast, and more, depending on the cancer stage.

Breast Cancer is the most common type of cancer, although not limited, amongst women. As many as 1.7 million new cases of Breast Cancer have been diagnosed in the previous year, making up of 12% of all new cancer cases. Some of the risk factors include age, genetics, alcohol consumption, hormonal treatments, exposure to oestrogen, and more.
